DoTD Sugar Skulls

6th Grade students learned about Day of the Dead, a Mexican celebration that takes place on November 1 and 2 each year.  DoTD is meant to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away.  Often families and communities will celebrate by creating Sugar Skull candies, altars, artwork, or participating in parades. Students created these vibrate oil pastel drawings in the style of the very popular sugar skull candies.
