Dia de Los Muertos @ NWMS

Things have been crazy this month and I’ve been a bit behind on posts… oops!

Anyway, here is a quick post with some of the Dia de Los Muertos artwork we created at the beginning of the month.  We were a little behind finishing up our major assignments of the first quarter, but after discussing the Mexican celebration of Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) students in each grade created quick Sugar Skull drawings to be displayed throughout the school.

Art Club students spent a couple weeks and were able to work in small groups to create the various skeletons that joined the skulls and also the beautiful papel piqued banners!
